First Trip Away from Baby Kate

Your dad surprised me for my birthday with a weekend away to a surprise location! He is always doing something sneaky like that and I couldn't have been more excited. I was nervous to leave you because I had never been away from you longer than a few hours, but I knew it was probably good for me to get away and especially get a little sleep! Your Gran and T.C. graciously offered to keep you while your dad and I were gone so I knew you would be in good hands. The trip did not start out well, needless to say. You were very fussy when we dropped you off at Clarksville and I was so worried that you would cry the entire time we were gone. I think you probably sensed that we were nervous and it made you nervous too! I think the minute we left you turned all that fussiness off and you were a perfect angel all weekend! Gran and T.C. said you barely cried at all the entire time and I think they had such a wonderful time with you.  They also said that you slept every night which was a miracle! Poppy and Grandmommy made a visit to Clarksville to see you during the weekend and they agreed that you were a perfect angel. Oh, I almost forgot...the surprise location was Evins Mill in Smithville, TN! It was beautiful and so relaxing!!
