Amazing

There are times when I am just amazed that I was chosen to be your mom. You are so special and you are such a joy to your father and me. When we take you out to lunch you win the whole restaurant over by smiling at everyone and waving your little hand. You love to show everyone all of your tricks (showing where your nose is, clapping your hands, doing sign language for "more", saying "dog", singing "row, row, row" your boat, and smiling your big smile). You are also so tough! You fall from running around so much and you get up 99% of the time and just shrug it off. Gosh, I am overwhelmed by you sometimes.

I am so happy to see you this way because you have been sick with a cold for almost 3 weeks! This was the first week you have really started to feel back to normal. It is so sad to see my little girl sick! I am used to you being the life of the party as I mentioned above and I panic when you are not. Hopefully you will stay well for awhile.

I love you sweet girl,
Mommy

It's been too long!

So sorry for my blogging absence! Things have been so crazy these last few weeks, and I have so much to report! We moved into our apartment the first of February for our home remodel project. Moving was a nightmare but I am so glad to finally have this project underway! Hopefully in six months or so we will be back in our new and improved home! You stayed at Gran and TC's house in Clarksville while we moved. Thank goodness for Poppy, Fairy, TC, Uncle Hank and Aunt Megan for all of their hard work helping us move!

A week after we moved we celebrated your 1st birthday! I was sad that I couldn't give you a big party at our house, but it worked out just fine to just have Fairy, Poppy, TC, Gran, Aunt Megan and Uncle Hank here at the apartment to celebrate with you. You loved being the center of attention and you loved playing with all of your new toys! You didn't like the cake very much but you did great.

We also had to start you in daycare early, so last Wednesday (Feb. 20) was your first day at Children's First. I was so worried about how it would go, but you did so great! We walked into the classroom and the first thing you did was say "hi" to every little child in the classroom. Then you went up to the little boys and smiled really big in their faces. I told you goodbye and it didn't faze you at all! When I picked you up the teacher said you were "awesome" and she couldn't believe how good you were and how advanced you were for your age! It was one of my proudest moments! You didn't nap very well there so we will have to work on that, but hopefully it will get better over time. You have started waking up in the middle of the night again and I think it must have something to do with daycare. I hope you start sleeping again soon!

I love you so much and I feel so lucky and honored to be your mommy!

Rainy Days...

It has pretty much rained all weekend, which means I have had the joy of just hanging out the house with you. It is so fun to watch you play with all of your toys. You are so independent! I could just sit and watch you walk around our living room for hours at a time. I know I keep saying this but you are such a big girl! You grabbed the bottle from me while I was giving it to you this morning because you wanted to do it yourself!  You are pointing to different things around this house and you have started grunting anytime you want more food (which is pretty much all of the time :) I am realizing every day how lucky I am to be your mom. You are just a joy!
